Hi Everyone! So my birthday week has arrived and I have a birthday bash full of guest posts and an awesome giveaway! Darkly Reading will have visits from some of her favorite bloggers and authors this week so be sure to stop by and join in the fun. Now onto the giveaway - I've had alot of fun during my first six months blogging and now that it's my birthday I wanted to give my lovely readers some books - so please fill out the form and pick which book from some of my favorite series you would like to win (and the giveaway is for where ever the book depository delivers!). You also get to help me pick which books I should get for my birthday from the birthday bash list - I'm horribly indecisive so I'm looking forward to see what you guys pick. 1st place winner gets to pick 3 books from my favorite firsts list and for every 50 new followers a new winner will be able to pick 1 book off the favorite firsts or birthday bash list. Happy Birthday! So hard to pick which three books you should read since I've only read Spider's Bite, which was very good and I recommend. I much preferred this to Estep's Big Town superhero series.
I have read all but Carolyn Crain's book so that was an obvious choice for me.

Not sure where to post my rec's so I'll leave them here:
I've already recommended Shiloh Walker's Through the Veil - Read the blurb woman, then buy it. In that particular world, the characters are vividly rich. Raw and unfettered comes to mind too.
Gena Showalter's The Lords of the Underworld series. I'm addicted; obsessed with them. That should be enough of a reason. Right? If not the combination of mythology, salvation and contrasting heroines and heroes should do the trick.
Kresley Cole's IAD series - Immortals After Dark. The Valkyries. I heart them. Obviously though, they're not the only aspect to entice. It's rife with passion, conflict and inner turmoil in the main protags. Bound with a complex, engaging world and we have a winner. ;)
Marjorie M. Liu's Maxine Kiss series (The Iron Hunt, Darkness Calls, A Wild Light.) Dark Fantasy with a heroine who carries that said darkness within herself, bound to demons who live on her flesh. My lips are sealed besides from the fact that I adored the first.
